Spring is here!

This is our first spring in this house with this lovely yard we have. These are all photos that I took in about the 5 minutes I could remain standing outside my house. (at least I am up today!! it’s been a string of days of being totally bedridden)

Dogwood -- we have three of them in our yard. They are awesomely beautiful.

Japanese Maple -- A tree I always wanted at our last house, but they were sort of expensive!! This house came with one!!

White Lantana -- ever seen the movie Lantana? One of my favorite movies! Except those were colored.

  1. What lovely pictures, I’m so jealous. If I took pictures of my yard today, you would see 16 inches of snow weighing down my trees.

Hoping to buy a bungalow ourselves again one day….I miss working in our garden.

Thanks for putting the photos up for all of us to see!!!

  3. I’ll warn you the movie is a bit disturbing…but it’s brilliantly acted and directed!!

and it’s not sick or twisted…just a bit heavy.

  4. Dear Gianna,
Regarding your earlier post, thank you for thanking me. And, I was “touched” by your response. When all else fails, and our doctors make us feel so very alone because they are so readily willing to abandon us just because we disagree with them, it’s very comforting to know we have each other.

On to more cheerful things…What great photographs, and what lovely flowers! Since I’ve started gardening with such a limited plant vocabulary, I was thrilled I could identify the Azalea, and the Japanese Maple, which I agree is a beautiful tree. I love the Dogwood, and just saw a white Lantana in class. (I’ve never heard of the film, but I’ll have to rent it.)
