You’re invited to come. And please pass this on to people you know who might like to learn more about recovery and and peer-led crisis respite programs. We are working to try to get a program started in Massachusetts.

  1. I just wanted to share that Dr. Fisher (Dan) was just here in South Dakota for his third time. I met Dan in 2006 at a conference here in SD back in 2006. Since then with his help and the help of the National Emowerment Center I have been the central contact for a statewide consumer/survivor organization in our state. While Dan, Debbie Whittle (NEC Dir) and Judene shelley were here we had a very sucessful conference.

On the Saturday and Sunday before Monday April 20th and Tuesday April 20th.

Dan along with Mike Wood from IAMHR (Iowa Advocates for Mental Health Recovery)over Skype helped us finalize our articles of incorporation.

We filed the papers Mon the 21st and as of that day and South Dakota United for Hope and Recovery (SDUnited)became an organization and well on our way to non profit status.

We are amazed and appreciative of how much effort and ability to be here in South Dakota. Dan with his worldwide activities has been able to be with us. We are and have been truly honored by his being able to personally do so much for us

    Jim

  2. I hadn’t notice it is at your blog.
I became aware of Patricia Deegan at this site.

  3. I exchanged some e-mails with him about two years ago.
He has already visited Brazil. 🙂
I like power2u.org and don’t understand why it’s not at bloglists.
