I like to apply all of this to me…rather than others…since we can’t control others…as you so aptly found out…
so if I apply it to me…it’s not someone else’s fault for not listening..it’s mine for wasting my energy where it won’t be heard…

I’m not saying I haven’t been in the situation you describe above many times, nor that I won’t be there again…but I feel empowered if I own my behavior…don’t know if that’s helpful or obnoxious??
I need to have this engraved in stone so I shall always remain mindful:

For too many years, I blamed MYSELF for failing to communicate when the real problem was on the receiving end!
