I have found that one of the gifts of having been ill has been the opportunity to get deeply in alignment with who I really am. I am in my passion, doing my work and I will be doing that for the rest of my life. That is truly a gift that I am deeply grateful for, even as I am still frustrated with the limitations that I continue to deal with.
In this new RSA Shorts video, Sir Ken Robinson argues that education, organisations and communities need to be built on a model of diversity rather than conformity, so that every individual is able to discover and develop their unique talents and abilities.
Ken Robinson is consistently wonderful to listen to. There are a few other videos in Beyond Meds that feature him and his work:
- Out of our minds: learning to be creative
- How to escape education’s death valley
- Education and the drugging of kids
