change, change, change

changeSomeone in a professional email group (mental health related) made a sour comment about how nothing ever changes in response to a post from the other day about the book ‘Deadly Medicines & Organised Crime: How Big Pharma has Corrupted Healthcare’ winning first prize…this person believes nothing is changing and nothing will change because another book with a similar title some years back got a lot of attention as well. I responded with this back to him:

Yes, perhaps we should all stop getting up in the morning since nothing ever changes.

But really, I’m utterly amazed at how many more professionals now read and share my work all over social networks…it’s incredible how much has changed since I first started doing this sort of work… I see things change everyday and am constantly motivated because the one thing I do see, always, is change…

The monolith which is the system may take more time, but change is everywhere…in every one of us always…

And if I didn’t think I could help folks heal and change etc, I wouldn’t get up in the morning, frankly. I’ve seen 1000s of folks get better after being harmed. I need nothing else to keep on inspiring others do the same. Healing is by it’s nature, also, change…

I get this sort of response to my work with some regularity, so that is where the initial sarcasm comes from. Anyway…thought I’d share because, boy, I really do see wonderful changes everyday even if yes, there is still a lot of work to be done.

Thanks in large part to all my readers who shows me what is possible all the time too!!
