by Jen Peer Rich — Until I let go of everything I trust and depend on externally, I am beholden others interpretations of what has value and what does not. But as I look deeper inside, when I am intimate within myself, I see a pathway to the locations and limitations of my conditioning and these pathways are what I am interested in getting into, so that I can explode again, so that I keep blowing my own mind. …
healing inside….
By Jen Peer Rich — I am an unrepeatable meal. As I am healing inside through self-inquiry, the more I appreciate the magic and mystery of being a unique being. My spiritual journey is my own, no one can come with me inside here. …
This is true-nature: whole, present, interconnected: every human is the experience of true nature all the time
By Jen Peer Rich — True-nature is overdue for normalization. Self-awareness and living a conscious life is often reserved for gurus, teachers and “spiritually enlightened” folks. In our Western culture, it is the norm to put people who wake up to true-nature on a kind of a psychological and spiritual pedestal. This approach is flawed because it maintains an illusory hierarchy of consciousness, an exclusively human mind-trick. We tend to make simple things mysterious. This is exactly what keeps true-nature such a carrot-stick mystery for many.
my roots go down (on freedom during a time when so many are enslaved)
By Jen Peer Rich — This is not a revolution where we ask for equal rights, or we negotiate for freedom within the framework of dualism and dominance, this is a revolution in which freedom is experienced as a living reality, a reality that has simply been overlooked. Freedom is lived tacitly in the psyche. This quality of freedom is unbound, thus, the position of the dominator becomes irrelevant. It becomes forceless.
Friends in presence
This is a lovely little video project I was lucky enough to participate in. My friend Jen Peer Rich made it.
I am heartbroken and badass, at once
By Jen Peer Rich — Sometimes I know things that I don’t want to know. Or I may see something that I can’t unsee no matter how bad I want to. And usually it’s not something I know or see strictly in my mind, but something I feel and see within my heart. That makes it harder to put what I am feeling or seeing into coherent thoughts or to find words to describe what I feel. All I have, is a giant hot soup of heavy feelings without any logical flow. When it’s like this, I remember two things:
Natural Intelligence: our human inheritance
By Jen Peer Rich — Amid the noise of the modern industrialized world, woven intimately within the striving that comes with living in a broken system of economic and social hierarchies, and underpinning the dominate culture machine that tells us who we are, there is another layer of life happening that is hardly noticed.
Violence
By Jen Peer Rich
Where is violence, really? In the heart of a mad gunman? In the heart of a woman who intentionally blinds herself with chemicals? In the heart of a presidential candidate who takes pride in sensationalizing human suffering?
Who is really violent here?
Maybe it’s me. … [click on title to read the rest of the post]
I am the oppressor
By Jen Peer Rich — When will we recognize that we are all being oppressed and oppressing all the time? If any one part of the system is oppressed, so too am I oppressed. Humans, animals, the earth, it’s all under the heavy weight of oppression. Every being deserves to be championed by the system from which it is born. We are all participating in the fate of every life. We have many communities within our life system that need rehabilitation from the oppressions that come with the belief in separation and the dislocation of the psyche from nature. So long as we keep the competition between oppressions alive, we can’t really help. .. [click title to read the rest]
No apologies for being sensitive to the earth and its suffering
By Jen Peer Rich — If we took a mere 50% of our global weaponry and technology resources and applied them towards sustainability actions, we could live in a much different world. It’s possible to stop kicking the earth in the teeth with destructive behaviors. Why not address the suffering of our species and endless other species? But we don’t. We keep feeding the machinery of separation. And why? … [click on title for the rest of the post]
