Speaking to “normals” about our hypersensitivity

Through the years, as a means to survive, I’ve sculpted my social-media so that I don’t have to listen to a lot of otherwise very offensive stuff about the experience of those of us with extreme sensitivities,  and iatrogenic and chronic illness. Still, because I care about some of the folks who continue to say insensitive, ignorant things about us, I do encounter it from time to time. In fact we cannot hide from the ignorance in the world about our experience and still live in the world and so I’m entering a phase of healing and learning that is helping me re-enter the world. This has become very clear to me as I continue to heal.

Different people are in need of different nutrients at different times…macro and micro. What you eat, for that reason matters greatly. What a healing diet looks like is going to be radically different for each person and is going to change a lot for individuals over time .. if one is healing there is no such thing as homeostasis, so it follows that your needs are going to change. With my radically dysregulated nervous system my needs can change daily. So becoming acutely mindfully aware of those changing needs became critically imperative. …

blah blah blah blah blah blah

some thoughts from around the internet in the last few days: In response to this article I saw tweeted: Psychiatric drugs killing more users than heroin, cocaine, say health experts I wrote these words:  Zyprexa alone killed far more than Vioxx ever did in same time it was on the market (Vioxx was taken off… Continue Reading →
