Detox, withdrawal from psych meds and chronic systemic infections (chronic illness tends to be associated with them)

I’ve been working on detoxification and clearing and opening up my detox pathways for a decade. It’s been slow and rough going for all the reasons y’all know about here. Still I have slowly come to tolerate a whole lot of detox herbs etc. I am now actually responding quite well to pretty hard-core Lyme disease protocols …

Sharing our truth vs. TMI (too much information)

I do it for myself but equally and sometimes more importantly I share as a role model for vulnerable people who might not otherwise trust themselves to do what they need to do in a world where not only have our needs never been met but we’ve also been harmed repeatedly when we’ve gone the route that the establishment tells us to go. We are on our own and we can still heal. Sometimes, really, I share only for this reason and not so much for me at all. I know that people don’t always like it and that I make people uncomfortable sometimes and that is my service to others who really need to see that we can do things in spite of those who do not and cannot understand us. …

Getting healthy means coming to balance

I had multiple infections that responded to Lyme disease treatment. I never tested positive for Lyme and gave up on doctors after that. Healing (for me) didn’t mean killing off all micro-organisms. It meant bringing balance by moving out excess of the ones making me sick and building up with other more expansive ones. These… Continue Reading →

herbs and corona virus

a few thoughts on an article I saw. the FDA is cracking down on false claims, which is okay in and of itself but the take away it seems is to shun herbs altogether which is not okay. Below are my brief comments. This is the link to the article: FDA, FTC slam 7 companies… Continue Reading →

~~ don’t chase and don’t run away from feelings ~~ (and yoga teacher training update)

first! thanks to those of you who have made donations towards my yoga teacher training. I’m now officially enrolled. I’m excited. It’s the first ongoing commitment I have made (outside of my home) in 10 years. I was explicit about my limitations and they remained enthusiastic about my participation. I will continue taking donations. I’ve paid for one third of the $3000 tuition fee. I have until June to finish paying in monthly installments. Any help will continue to be much appreciated. ***and now some regularly scheduled odds and ends for your perusal:

Heavy metals

Heavy metals are just one really heinous environmental toxin that gets into the nervous system and exponentially potentiates “negative” emotions (as well as being painful in ways that go far beyond what most people can conceive of and is associated with all manner of chronic illness and other infections all across the population…which is why the medical establishment shrinks away from the reality and calls people crazy, etc). It’s messed up and only people who have experienced the detox in its extremes really know it–most people teaching detox are working in the dark. …

A few of my favorite books about herbs…

My collection of Stephen Buhner’s books. An incredibly rich and important resource for any herbalist and self-healing freaks of all sorts. I love these books.  Many of us with long term chronic illness will find that we have chronic infections of various kinds as well. I grew up on a steady diet of unnecessary pharmaceutical… Continue Reading →

Emotional, physical, spiritual, trauma based healing

this is true of all illness or dis – ease of any kind. Emotional, physical, spiritual, trauma based or otherwise. I love these two paragraphs– it’s what I say over and over and over again in my work. We’re all different and our healing paths are all different. There are as many paths to wellness as there are human beings. …
