This was written in three parts in consecutive order over time. I thought they should all appear together in one place as they represent a journey through time and psyche both. …
The shadow child grows up. (parts)
The shadow child, the dissociated, disenfranchised self, is the light. I bow down to her now. My GODDESS my QUEEN within me. Please speak. I am all wisdom I am your light I am the force within you. I AM. You have kept me buried for far too long. It is time to release me…. Continue Reading →
the parts that hurt: email to the man who told me to go see a psychiatrist
So, funnily enough, I did go to a psychiatrist. Someone I met some years ago. He’s in the mainstream and well-respected there because he knows how to float between worlds. He’s awake. He and I talked about your work some years ago. He was familiar with it and respects it. He’s one of the kindest human beings I’ve ever met. …
short and sweet: 6 brutal truths (parts)
Once we’re adults we cannot expect another adult to fix the infantile parts of ourselves that were never appropriately nurtured by our parents. Healing is about becoming conscious of those parts and then learning to reparent those parts for ourselves. No one else will ever know what all the little hurt children within us need…. KALI – the goddess and archetype who’s been my muse and familiar (parts)
some tweets from my twitter timeline I’m going to share here now too. I’ve strung them together: In our culture with the level and degree of societal conditioning the only way to heal and be free is to first be totally destroyed. Trauma, subpersonalities, the lie and constant change (parts)
Healing, more than anything, becomes an exercise in learning to trust oneself. Unfortunately the medical and psychological establishments perpetuates many such treatments. My village has been patch-worked together from all over the world. I’m profoundly grateful for the internet given I would not have healed otherwise.
The parts that have been shamed and silenced must come out if we are to heal and be whole
The parts that have been shamed and silenced must come out if we are to heal and be whole. I will never again be shamed or silenced. Psychiatry is an institution that practices both shame and silence against those it “serves.” …
Working with “parts” and “subpersonalities” as we come to consciousness and heal
Those of us whose nervous system have been destroyed by psych drugs and withdrawal from them often find ourselves simply splayed open. In essence, our unconscious is screaming at us because our nervous systems have been gravely injured. As we begin to heal we find ourselves diving more and more deeply into our psyches by necessity. This is about some of what we find. This is not unique to those of us who’ve come off psych drugs…it’s simply laid bare. All our human psyches are made like this. …
Healing is about becoming conscious of infantile parts
Once we’re adults we cannot expect another adult to fix the infantile parts of ourselves that were never appropriately nurtured by our parents. Healing is about becoming conscious of those parts and then learning to reparent those parts for ourselves. No one else will ever know what all the little hurt children within us need. We’re the only ones who can hear those parts and tend to them. This is the biggest reason the mental illness system fails. It pretends to be a parent and further infantilizes it’s adults clients. Until it understands how to support folks to trust themselves and thus empower themselves it will continue to cause further harm. … [click on the title to read and view more]
