Civil disobedience and Dandelions

By Leaflin Lore Winecoff ~~ Civil disobedience and Dandelions... … are often on my mind. What does civil disobedience mean to you? Have you ever been confronted with a choice to do what is ethical, true …versus what is lawful, or profitable? Do you have the courage to choose what is ethical, when it goes against the grain? When it’s not the easy path? When it might cost you money or status? If it hasn’t happened yet, it might happen soon - be ready!

Narrative and story

Narrative and story are tools of interpretation. They do not and cannot represent absolute truth. Within the evolving persons life a narrative can change many times. Alternately one might apply a multitude of narratives to a single issue so that in effect one can see themselves simultaneously through many prisms/perspectives and thus have a more holistic and profound understanding of their experience. Imposing our narrative on another is violence, just as having a narrative imposed upon us can be.

Rabbit holes, multidimensional reality

It boils down to rabbit holes. If it's not one rabbit hole it will be another. Everyone stuck in a rabbit hole is in the dark. EVERYONE. The entire human species is in agony and trying to heal. Being human…

By: Imogen Sita Webber ~~ Being Human The only way forward and through this life is to embrace our humanity, not run from it. It's no good hiding in "nothing is effecting me" and "I am beyond it all." While true on an absolute level, it doesn't account for the lived, embodied experience of being human. Re-enter the woods that we might find our true nature

Until we understand what the land is, we are at odds with everything we touch. And to come to that understanding it is necessary, even now, to leave the regions of our conquest - the cleared fields, the towns and cities, the highways - and re-enter the woods. For only there can a man encounter... Continue Reading →

life conspires to support us

I'm learning that life does, indeed, conspire to support us. It can still be a rough ride and not look anything like we might want or expect. So it's okay to think it sucks sometimes too...because it can. Breaking down old habits and beliefs is hard work.  Being able to see the wonder even in the midst of hell is a good thing, however.
