I’m learning that life does, indeed, conspire to support us. It can still be a rough ride and not look anything like we might want or expect. So it’s okay to think it sucks sometimes too…because it can. Breaking down old habits and beliefs is hard work. Being able to see the wonder even in the midst of hell is a good thing, however. With practice that, too, is possible.
Once the journey of soul recovery is begun in earnest, Life itself conspires to support us. It is up to us to learn to cooperate with it. When we do, we discover a new horizon of joyful possibility ever expanding before us. ~ Ellen Grace O’Brian
(update 2025) ~~ in light of learning this to be true I wrote the following words for another post in 2024
a litany of Trust:
trust everything. trust yourself trust the environment trust me trust your lover and trust your enemy trust the trustworthy and trust the untrustworthy. it’s becoming grossly evident…that reality and the powers that be are trustworthy and steadfast.
it’s not easy to let go and trust the chaos in this world with all the pain and agony that it also presents. I’ve found there isn’t a better solution and in surrender I do experience natural magic daily. Magic is natural, by the way.
Here is another one from 2024:
Wonder woman
We are living, walking, talking miracles. Every one of us.
Even though I have been heinously and gravely ill for far too many years, the wisdom of my body continually blows me away. What happened to this body was egregious. It is simply doing what it must to survive and heal In a world that left it for dead. I cooperate in awe.
My body is wonder woman. So is yours.
May we all honor the mystery of our individual paths.
- Somatic imperative: collection
- healing is about letting the wisdom of the body re-emerge (and other reflections)
We have internal guidance
- The Still Small Voice is Speaking. Are we sane enough to listen?
- To see a professional or not
- The guru is within…
- You are your own teacher, guru, healer
