Question from a reader: when were you able to start pushing again?

Question from a reader: Physically when were you able to start pushing yourself with regularity? Answer: I don't push. I practice not pushing. This seems to be a good way to live in general in order to stay healthy. But when you're sick it's critically important not to push. -- Instead I gently lean against what might be called the edge. Pushing you fall over (and down)...leaning in a bit you can come back and rest and then go out again. It's really important to learn this... Granted, I say practice because we all push on occasion. But if I push, I still pay for it...so I practice not pushing...like I said. I get better at it all the time. ... [click on title to read the rest]

Raw, Open and Real: Moving From Traumatic Aloneness to Universal Oneness

"We don't have many models for what it looks like to persevere on this healing journey and many stop prematurely. A crucial piece is the willingness to be present with our own pain. As humans it's natural to want to avoid pain, but usually it's the avoidance of pain that is more painful than the actual pain. That's why support is so essential. The wound begins in relationship and the ultimate healing occurs in relationship as well." ... [click on title to read the rest]

Hoʻoponopono: Collective Forgiveness

An ancient Hawaiian tradition: "In these communities no one was considered an isolated individual. Every single person was a member of the interdependent community and bloodline. Every single person in some way or another represented their clan/family/lineage/village. - So If one single person behaved criminally then the whole family, clan and village felt they were responsible for that behaviour. A criminal action belonged to and was the responsibility of the whole community. - If there was a wrongdoing therefore the whole family and village would come out to take responsibility for it, to redress it and to heal it." …

Healing is a shocking process

Healing from this particular form of iatrogenic injury is a shocking process. It is shocking by nature of the fact that one of the hallmarks of this brain injury is a deep and profound neurological terror. Everyone is mentally ill

I think that instead of denying mental illness at the individual level (for some good reasons like lack of lab work indicating any sort of markers of any actual disease) it's time to recognize that everyone is mentally ill...and some of those most impacted are psychiatrists and other officials of the state who harm those of us who are more conscious...not less. Our society and world is sick...the individuals who are most sensitive are canaries in the coal mine. We all need help and we all need healing. Everyone on the planet needs to come to consciousness should we wish to save our species as well as a lot of others too.

Parallels in obstetrics and psychiatry

By Leah Harris -- As I got deeper into the research about childbirth options, I began to notice the commonalities between the natural birth movement and our movement of users and survivors of psychiatry. The first commonality is that we are confronting industries – the birth/obstetric and psychiatric industries, respectively. In both cases, the trend is toward the most invasive medical technologies, which also just happen to make a lot more money for these industries. When it comes to mental health – as we all know, it’s institutionalization, shock, and expensive psych drugs. ...
