The above top 10 posts are mostly tab pages that I’ve highlighted, there are two exceptions that got picked up on stumbleupon or something of that sort, which can yield a lot of hits very suddenly. Also exceptions, are “Lamictal withdrawal from hell which has been number one every year since it posted. It’s got over 300 comments and people just keep coming via search. The sad fact is there is little other information on Lamictal withdrawal on the internet. People therefore find that post with hundreds of anecdotes. The same with the Gabapentin (Neurontin) withdrawal post. People come for the info via search.

In any case the majority of the above shows that the archives of this blog continue to be used as a resource and that’s a great thing to know.

My favorite post of this year was also the number 11th post with over 6,000 hits. It’s a very important post written by Daniel Mackler who made a film about the Finish program Open Dialogue. Open Dialogue has now documented that people who get diagnosed with schizophrenia and other psychotic conditions cannot only recover and lead full lives, they can do it mostly without medications. If you’ve not read the post, visit now and share it with others, too. At the bottom of the post is the trailer for the film so view that too.

●  Finnish Open Dialogue: High recovery rates leave many psychiatric beds empty

So lots of other tab pages with archival material are among the other top posts (see the right bar for those where is says Navigate the archives via pages)

I’d like to also highlight more posts authored this year that were also in the top numbers:

●  On the dehumanization of Sylvia Plath…

●  “The biggest mistake I ever made was…going to see a psychiatrist” (Stevie Nicks)

●  Trauma release exercises (works with simple tension too)

●  It feels so great to be off psych meds: a recovery story by Corinna West

●  Psychiatrists and Policy Makers Meet on Concerns about Overuse of Medications

●  My number one healing tool I use almost every day

●  Living well while being sick

I’d like to thank all my readers who keep me posting. This blog, while sometimes feeling like a mixed blessing, has kept me productive and engaged in community while being seriously ill, disabled and unable to engage in life outside my home. Most people as sick as I am don’t have such meaningful work in their lives. So again, thank you.

Note:
I’m lightening up on the posting until the new year. There is stuff scheduled daily already but they’re light for the most part and unless my muse grabs me I don’t intend to do much writing.
