Heal the gut — heal the body and mind

The gut issues discussed in these videos are relevant to anyone with intestinal issues and therefore can be helpful to many people labeled with psychiatric issues as well. As I've written before many times on this blog, people with psychiatric disorders often have serious gut issues. These issues are usually labeled Irritable Bowel Syndrome or IBS. Most of the people I've worked with in circles of people who have been labeled with psychiatric diagnosis also have issues with their gut.

Appropriately at the beginning of the video she says it may sometimes be more appropriate to call them "difficult stages" of contemplative life rather than negative or adverse effects. Such breakdown/breakthrough is sometimes part of the contemplative experience. The need for meditation teachers who are educated and understand the phenomena is very important.

Alternatives to psychiatry: a resource

All diagnosis can potentially respond to natural treatments. It’s possible for anyone to consider life without medication. This blog is a contemplation about healing ourselves through means other than medication whether you’re on medications or not. And I might add whether you choose to stay on them or not.
