Update 2026: I happened upon this old post (third eye cleanse and support…) and was surprised. I didn’t remember writing it and that’s because I virtually never talk about the specific substances I might use to support my healing. It turns out that about a year after the writing of this I tested positive for Lyme and several co-infections. I’ve written a lot about that since then. I think microbiome issues are part of everyone’s healing journey wether it needs to become conscious or not. If you’re interested in stuff about micro-organisms and how it intersected with psych drug withdrawal see these collection pages: Tardive Dyskinesia and Lyme disease / systemic infections
I just made a third eye cleanse / opening essential oil blend. I’ve been detoxing my brain and most specifically it seems, the pineal gland area ~ which seems to correlate with the third eye. I’ve got a nasty microorganism imbalance in there…it put me in ICU when I almost died a year and a half ago…it’s no joke. (for more info see:Coming home (by Paul Woodward and Monica Cassani) and “How did this happen? You’re the most resourced person I know. “)
This is the mix:
- Ylang Ylang
- Lavender
- Clary Sage
- Pine
- Frankincense Serrata
- Sandalwood
- Rose
- Rosemary
- Pine
- in a cold pressed organic sesame seed carrier oil
That was fun.
Update 2026: I think it was in a small bottle and I only put a drop or two of each. That info wasn’t included in the post. I cook like that too. I cook and make medicine intuitively. I’ve used essential oils a lot but I go long periods without any. They’re very powerful and I remain sensitive. I rotate all my medicine. (food, movement, herbs, essential oils…EVERYTHING rotates in and out as my body needs)
I’m going to get some Vetiver, Carrot Seed, Bay Laurel and Helichrysum for an alternative blend. I had everything else on hand. I’ve also enjoyed Juniper, Vetiver, Myrrh and Palo Santo for the same purposes. I love burning Sage, Palo Santo, Myrrh and Frankincense and inhaling them…really wonderful medicine for my brain.
DISCLAIMER : (Please be careful before doing anything like this for yourself. I rarely share anything I do substance wise because we’re all so different. If you’re in the throws of withdrawal this sort of thing could seriously whack you out…please don’t just copy stuff like this without going deep into your body and seeing if it thinks it’s a good idea then proceed carefully…perhaps with just one oil at a time…I got to this point by careful detox that took a full DECADE…yes, ten years. This is not something I would have tolerated until NOW. Essential oils can be very potent medicine. This is frequently not appreciated when people first come to essential oils. As sensitives the seriousness of this issue is greater and we must be careful as we learn to listen to our bodies.

****We could use some financial support at the moment! You know, for things like the mortgage so that we can maintain a roof over our heads. Yup. I do this all for no other compensation that what the readers want to offer in support. Thank you!****
