Understanding ‘Disability’ – Carts of Darkness Film

Rational discussion and framing of issues is important, but the lived reality of disability, madness, and psychiatric abuse are felt and emotional. I came across this online film you can watch: Carts of Darkness.

I don’t want to give away too much, and I encourage you to watch it without reading the synopsis. But the film manages to stir in me deep questioning of what is normal, who is ‘better off’ ‘normal’ people with disabilities or the poor, and how the real wounding is the separation of worlds and the broken human relatedness.

I found the whole thing on youtube here as well. (giannakali)
