2015 Yale Symposium – Dr. David Healy: video about dangers of psych drugs

Wonderful! I’ve only listened to a bit because I have a meeting in a few minutes but this is Dr. David Healy at Yale speaking about the dangers of psychiatric drugs and the denial about that fact in the medical establishment.

I listened to bits and pieces and he really goes for it! I’ll listen to the rest later:

Dr. David Healy speaks at the 2015 Yale Symposium entitled, “New Data and New Hopes Call for New Practices in Clinical Psychiatry”.

Dr. Healy is a professor of Psychiatry at Bangor University in Wales and a former secretary of the British Psychopharmacology Assn. He is considered one of the premier scholars of the psychopharmacology era and has written more about “medication optimization” than any other psychiatrist in the world. Healy is the founder of http://www.RXisk.org – a data gathering and sharing website that integrates research data with clinical expertise and the reports of those with lived experience.

The symposium was sponsored by the Foundation for Excellence in Mental Health Care, the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and the Yale Program for Recovery and Community Health.

I shared my story on David Healy’s website a few years ago: Monica’s story: the aftermath of polypsychopharmacology
