Sharing the good news (another piece of correspondence with my shrink)

A new email cut and pasted here that I sent to my prescribing psychiatrist. I’ve collected my correspondence to him here.

Hi J,
I thought that given I’ve kept you apprised about news that was generally meant to let you know how your care ended up hurting me I thought I’d share a different sort of news today…

Food as medicine

I’m doing remarkably better after starting the above diet.

Also the more I learn it’s become clear that psychiatry, while certainly not helpful was ultimately part of a litany of insults that all took part in making me sick.

The first major one was years of antibiotic use as a teenager for acne…not even particularly bad acne! (antibiotics kill healthy gut flora and set the stage for chronic illness)

Psychiatry is part of a system of “medicine” that systematically brings down our immune systems. (as well as using toxic substances with the intention of healing — really doesn’t make any sense) You are no more guilty than anyone in this society that takes part in this sort of care.

I truly bare no animosity towards you and as I begin to see how far and wide the causes of my illness are I’m able to let go of any remnants of anger.

Still, I’m committed to helping educate others and that, truly, has always been the spirit in which I share with you.

Thank you for letting me share all I’ve shared with you. I have no idea if you take anything I say particularly seriously but I do appreciate your always respectful tone and energy (from what I can tell in emails)

best to you,
Gianna

The fact is what is harming us goes beyond the toxic practices of western medicine and psychiatry. Our heavily-tampered-with food supply harms us too. The chemicals in our water and environment harm us. We are harming the planet and ourselves in massive and systematic ways. It’s a deep and entrenched part of our culture. We need to become aware, stop doing it and clean up what has already been done.
