Ego Anonymous: 1. We admitted we were powerless — we have no ultimate control over anything and this body will die one day. We are fighting this fact in one way or another. This fight is insane because it’s in contradiction to reality. 2. Came to believe that Nature could restore us to sanity. 3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to life-force as we understand it 4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves 5 Shared our pain/trauma with life-force, ourselves, and with friends. 6. Were entirely ready to have life-force transform all our trauma. ...
Quarantine bites
thank you to Lee Hodges, Store Manager at Lowe's Home Improvement -- from Linked In. I was so pleased to see someone who isn't clearly in the world of mental health speaking up for folks. Lee Hodges said: I've seen a lot of nasty posts in regards to people making "non-essential" trips .. Do you... Continue Reading →
Pandemic blues. Can’t wait to get back to “normal.” Really?
Back to normal? This is the world I know....thank god others are waking up to the destruction humanity has wrought. The air is clean, the animals are returning to places they've not been for decades.
I've been in isolation for over a decade with no appropriate medical care. This is my third pandemic as well. The AIDS pandemic...I worked at the beginning when young men were dying like flies. And the pandemic of murder by psychiatric meds. Going on everyday and denied by most. This is my life in isolation. I haven't been pretending the world isn't falling apart.
Maybe others will join us now...those of us who are paying attention. Let it be.
Critical contemplations and observations for the pandemic and beyond
( these brief comments are regarding the above image) let us all shoot for action and be patient with ourselves and others while we more frequently inhabit the other layers...compassion for ourselves and others both is more important now than ever.... *** See this article: the below comments are response to it: Corona virus and... ~~ don’t chase and don’t run away from feelings ~~ (and yoga teacher training update)
first! thanks to those of you who have made donations towards my yoga teacher training. I'm now officially enrolled. I'm excited. It's the first ongoing commitment I have made (outside of my home) in 10 years. I was explicit about my limitations and they remained enthusiastic about my participation. I will continue taking donations. I've paid for one third of the $3000 tuition fee. I have until June to finish paying in monthly installments. Any help will continue to be much appreciated. ***and now some regularly scheduled odds and ends for your perusal:
Nature and surrender. Safety is an illusion.
All there is, is nature. To nature I surrender. *** Sometimes being overwhelmed is the only way through. *** We're all profoundly unique and complex and it's really, just the lack of understanding that fact alone, that makes western medicine so dangerous for the sensitive among us. We must be met as individuals and not all of us be treated with the same pharmaceutical hammer. (Iatrogenic *medical* injury) Holistic branches of healers also suffer from this inability to see uniqueness. Capitalism makes it so. It is the authority of acting like they know something that makes what they are selling marketable. Buyer beware.
Suicide prevention: thinking outside the box
Posts on healing methods of engaging with suicidal thoughts and feelings: such thoughts and feelings are normal and need to be engaged safely if we hope to work with them. Locking people up and drugging them for feeling despair isn't the way to go. GO HERE for ideas to consider when facing the dark emotions. Let... Continue Reading →
Heavy metals
Heavy metals are just one really heinous environmental toxin that gets into the nervous system and exponentially potentiates "negative" emotions (as well as being painful in ways that go far beyond what most people can conceive of and is associated with all manner of chronic illness and other infections all across the population...which is why the medical establishment shrinks away from the reality and calls people crazy, etc). It's messed up and only people who have experienced the detox in its extremes really know it--most people teaching detox are working in the dark. ...
A little bit of everything…
Coming to love our "negative" feelings is part of the deal when we're healing. The parts we like the least must be incorporated. You've got to love those babies too. The problems start when we deny of those types of feelings. That's when they get ugly. No feelings are bad. Feelings are neutral. feeling them is not acting on them. We must feel them if we hope to ever come into flow. ...
Love and such….
We are all entitled to love. we have no control over how it comes to us, however. ...
Their trauma is not an excuse to be a shitty person to you. Really?
Actually it kind of is. Certain kinds of trauma hack the nervous system in such a way that drama ensues even in light of awareness. Then it's just your job to steer clear with great compassion and love in your heart. People who treat others badly because of their own trauma do need to become aware and avoid situations where they act like assholes until they better understand and are able to not behave in that way. We can help them by making clear boundaries while minimizing our judgments. ...
