Savasana with B. Alan Wallace
Accomplish scholar, practitioner and meditation teacher, B.Alan Wallace, is one of the very few buddhist master to teach savasana as a legitimate posture for meditation. Here, Dr. Wallace share with us his own experience with BKS Iyengar and how his time with the Yogi has impacted his practice and still does today.
I love Shavasana or (Savasana, as I spelled it in my posts) and since I was so ill I certainly used it to meditate when I could not sit upright for two years. I’ve put two photos on here from the position as well because I love it and do it daily. In the spring and summer I do it outside: ● Early morning sky from savasana ● The view from savasana
Savasana includes some other laying down positions too including legs up the wall which is another favorite.
